Case study

From a builder site and a paper notebook to a company that's ready for vendor review

Our first client was our own company. This is what AUS looked like before, what we built, and what happened once the new site was up. Every figure below comes from AUS's own records.

The AUS Commercial Facility Services home page: a dark header with the AUS logo, the headline Hometown roots. Regional capability., buttons to request a facility assessment and download the capability statement, and a photo of a technician machine-scrubbing a store floor.

Before and after

What changed

AreaBeforeAfter
WebsiteA site builder page, with the domain registered inside the builder's account.A procurement-style site: industries, a downloadable capability statement, a coverage map of 111 verified service locations, quote forms that reach the inbox, online agreement pages that produce a signed PDF, and structured data for search. Every number on it is checked against a company facts register before it's published.
InvoicesA document template edited by hand every billing cycle, saved to PDF and emailed.A branded invoice template that adapts to what was serviced. Sections that weren't billed drop out on their own.
Closeout reportsPhotos left in a phone's camera roll.Branded reports with before-and-after photos side by side and the signed work order.
Field recordsMileage in a paper notebook. The Field Ops app, in internal testing on AUS jobs.
SalesSpreadsheets, email and notebooks. An operations portal in development: lead tracking, a quote builder, vendor records and a bid organizer.
What it shows

The site didn't win the work alone

A buyer who finds you online checks three things before they call: whether you look like a real company, whether you serve their area, and whether you'll be easy to work with. The site answered all three before anyone picked up the phone. The fast written replies, the walkthroughs and the documents did the rest.

That's the order we work in for clients too. First the site and the documents that prove what you do. Then the outreach that sends buyers to them.

Still in progress

The operations portal and the Field Ops app are still being built and tested on AUS jobs. We'll update this page when they're in daily use. See the Field Ops build status
